Parents, teachers, and students looking for the scientific explanations behind learning differences and strategies to aid success in school can find both on the companion Web site for Misunderstood Minds. The site includes profiles of the students in the documentary, as well as sections on Attention, Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council

Melwood Recreation Center
The Melwood Recreation Center is a beautiful 108-acre facility located on the Nanjemoy Peninsula in rural Charles County, Maryland. Maryland Community Connection
Maryland Community Connection is a nonprofit organization that provides training, employment opportunities, emotional support and access to resources to individuals with disabilities. MCC supports individuals who want to have greater social and economic independence and who wish to become fully integrated into their communities. They work on a case-by-case basis, identifying each individual’s goals and specific needs.
